Colon Hydrotherapy

Today’s environment and diet inhibits optimal functioning of the colon – one of the body’s organs that is designed to eliminate toxins and waste products. Colon hydrotherapy, also referred to as colonics or colon irrigation, is a process of introducing warm, filtered water into the large intestine. The client comfortably lies on a table and is draped with a sheet for privacy.

In Light Studio uses FDA registered equipment, which uses a disposable speculum and tubing for each session. After the insertion of the speculum, warm water is slowly introduced to the colon. The warm water loosens up hard fecal matter and encourages it to leave the body. When the client relates they have reached their threshold of water, water and waste is allowed to empty through the tubing and machine. Waste matter remains enclosed within the tubing, keeping odors and bacteria to a minimum. The session consists of a series of fills and releases and lasts no longer than 45 minutes or as recommended by the referring physician.
